Using this platform, we hope this information gets to all interested candidates who wish to apply for admission into this academic institution for 2014/2015 Academic session.
The academic institution wishes to use this platform, to notify the general public, that applications are currently been invited from suitably qualified candidates for admission into Bowen University (BU) residential Cambridge Advanced Level and / or Interim Joint Matriculation Board Examination (IJMBE) for the 2014/2015 academic Session.
1. THE PROGRAMMES’ SPECIAL ADVANTAGES
The advantages are too numerous to mention, but we’ll try to point out, the most vital ones here. applying candidates should note that the intensive teaching from Bowen University dedicated lecturers and conducive learning environment would enable a student, any student, no matter their previous school records to pass the Cambridge A”Level, IJMB and learning Joint Universities Examinations Board (JUPEB) Examinations in his/her three (3) A/L subjects with such high grades. You can pass the JUPEB exams with high scores (grades) that would qualify him/her for Direct Entry admission into the degree programme at Bowen University or any other university both within and outside the shores of the Country.
2. Requirements for Admission
Before you’re admitted into the BU tertiary institution, all candidates should note that the school requires/expects of them to possess a minimum of five (5) O’ Level Credit passes at one or two sittings in SSCE/GCE/NECO/NABTEB or its equivalents in subjects relevant to their intended degree programmes.
But you should, however, note that a Humanities applicant who is deficient in Mathematics, or a Science applicant who is deficient in English Language may be permitted to take the affected O/L subject concurrently with his/her three (3) A/L subjects for IJMBE programme only. (this would help solve the applicants problem)
3. Degree Programme Placement
All applying candidates should also be aware, that at the very end of either of the Programmes, students who are interested in getting admission into Bowen University will need to apply formally to the Joint Admissions Matriculation Board (JAMB) by completing the JAMB Direct Entry (D.E) Application Forms.
When filling the form, such candidate MUST indicated the Universities and degree programmes of their choice. Do take note that the final admission into a particular University for a particular programme will, of course, depend on the students level of performance in the Cambridge and IJMB Examinations results.

6. EXAMINATIONS
All interested candidates should note that the examinations are normally taken in February of each year for IJMB while Cambridge exams are in May/June and October/November of the year.
7. MODE OF APPLICATION
This is important for all interested applicants, do take note that you are required to visit the Bowen University website at http//www.bowenuniversity-edu.org for the following:
i. When the above website loads up, click on the “Advanced level admission” portal.
ii. Then proceed and complete the Application form online.
iii. Ensure that you download and print out the completed Application form.
iv. You can then proceed and make payment for the Application Form :
All applicants should also be aware that they are required to submit the completed Application form at the University with a non-refundable sum of N4,500.00 (four thousand, five hundred naira only) which should be in a bank draft, payable to Bowen University Iwo, Osun State on the date of the Screening Exercise, stated below.
8. Application Closing Date:
All applicants should be aware that they are expected to submit the downloaded application forms to the Registrar. Bower University, Iwo, Osun State on or before Friday, the 19th of September, 2014.
9. Screening Exercise
All applicants for the Bowen Advanced Level programmes who submit their e-application shall be required to participate in a Screening Exercise, which the school management board has arranged to hold on Saturday, the 20th of September, 2014.
