Happily, we’ll love to inform our readers here at Dailyschoolnews, that the Petroleum Technology Development Fund ( popularly known as PTDF) is a parastatal of the Ministry of Petroleum Resources, which has long being established by Decree 25 of 1973 for the purpose of developing and promoting petroleum technology, it’s purpose is to create the manpower needs of the oil and gas industry through research and training of Nigerians over-seas.
The PTDF mission and vision is to help train Nigerian to qualify as
in the field of
→ science and management in the oil and gas industry in Nigeria or abroad.
PTDF also have a vision to serve, but not just only as a vessel for the development of indigenous manpower and technology transfer/acquisition in the petroleum industry, but to also make Nigeria, as a country, a human resource centre for the West African sub-region.
To make sure that a steadfast implementation of this mandate come to pass, PTDF is inviting applications from all suitably qualified candidates for Overseas MSc and PhD Scholarships.
Scholarships will be awarded for studies in the 2013/2014 academic session, for students to study in the following countries.
→ United Kingdom,
→ France (Grenoble INP) and other highly upgraded Universities in Nigeria for the 2013/2014 session.
Meanwhile, the Undergraduate level will be awarded for studies in Nigeria only on subject areas listed below.

You can use an ATM card or through purchase of a scratch card from designated main branches of First Bank of Nigeria Plc in all the States and FCT.
Note that upon payment of a NON-REFUNDABLE sum of N1,000
(One Thousand Naira Only).

All Candidates/Applicants may please note that only qualified and suitable applicants, who meet the requirements below shall be shortlisted and invited for Electronic Aptitude Test.
While in the case of Master’s, the oral interview will be conducted for PhD (full time) on dates to be announced later.
Please note that following the aptitude tests and interview, the best qualified candidates will be selected and awarded the PTDF Scholarship for 2013/2014.
